The End of Time
Such an enjoyable 2 hours of television. I don't care that that it seemed to be a bunch of scenes from other shows and films re-written for Doctor Who because it was just pure and utter fun.
For me, the two-hander scenes with Tennant and Cribbins were some of the best we've ever had in the entire run of Doctor Who - and I don't just mean the new series.
The big reveal of the Time Lord President's name gives a massive clue about how the Time Lords were getting on in the Time War - they were losing! They must have been to be so desperate for them to resurrect not only the Master (see Series 3: Utopia/The Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords) but also Rassilon!
I don't care that some people think this was awful; I don't care that some people think there were plot holes big enough for the TARDIS interior to fit through; I don't care that there are people out there who seem to care only for picking apart the details of each and every episode of the show before proclaiming how utter shite they think it is! For me, I tend to just sit back and enjoy the ride - 'cos usually it's just Fantastic! And this one was.
The Doctor re-visiting all his companions was highly reminiscent of the Fourth and Fifth Doctor seeing their companions as they regenerated and for the Doctor to fight off his regeneration long enough to do that brought the end of Caves of Androzani part 3 to mind.
Anyway, I'm rambling on a bit so I'll finish by saying this was highly enjoyable viewing and a fitting send off for Tennant.
Well done the Doctor Who Production Team, Cast and Crew!
